This work approaches Tempelhofer Feld as a fragmented landscape in which histories of power, technology, and public life remain materially entangled. Conceived as a monumental airport under National Socialism, later central to the Berlin Airlift and eventually transformed into a vast public field, Tempelhof has repeatedly been reimagined without its earlier formations ever fully disappearing.

The installation draws on impressions collected while moving through the site. Textures, architectural surfaces and embodied encounters are translated into a three-dimensional environment, where recognizable elements are displaced, enlarged and layered. The work considers the technological sublime: a contemporary form of awe and unease in which sensations once associated with the magnitude and terror of nature are increasingly elicited by synthetic infrastructures. In the work, these contradictions are allowed to coexist without resolution. Tempelhof emerges not as a fixed historical object, but as a space continuously produced through memory, material remnants, present-day encounters and speculative possibility.
