You Wouldn’t Even Fuck It, 2026

“You Wouldn’t Even Fuck It” consists of two hollowed-out bread sculptures shaped like penises and double-ended dildos. Open at both ends, each object can both penetrate and be penetrated, refusing fixed positions such as active and passive, giver and receiver, or penetrator and penetrated. This reversibility exposes bodily roles, agency, and power as constructed rather than natural. The work critiques the belief that a person, institution, or system has the right to decide what is best for others. This logic creates rigid binaries around bodies, desires, identities, and intimacy, while shaping people toward roles and lives they may not have chosen. The critique extends from the sex toy industry to food production. These systems package certain products, bodies, and ways of living as desirable, while hiding the control, contamination, and deterioration beneath them. The same mentality that interferes with bodily autonomy also dominates land, ecosystems, and agriculture, making clean food increasingly inaccessible and presenting it as a privilege. Displayed in a storefront-style vitrine, the bread sculptures initially appear attractive, edible, and usable. Throughout the exhibition, they mold, dry, and decompose. What was beautifully packaged as something desirable gradually becomes something one would not even eat, penetrate, or be penetrated by.
