This (hidden) painting responds to the constraints of 6 viewing holes while the window beneath undergoes repairs. You are invited to take part in a meditation:

Start by standing at one end of the black board.

Cover your ears with your fingers.

Take the largest breath you can.

Look through the fist hole, enunciating the “o” slowly until you run out of breath.

Feel the vibrations in your skull.

Move along the board repeating the exercise at each hole.

I’m driven by the belief that all things are conscious and the idea of a completely separate self is an illusion. Informed by neuroscience, meditation and somatic practices, my works reveal shared materialities between human, animal, mineral, and celestial bodies, often serving as scores to spark non-dual experiences. This painting, for example, acts as a cue to embody language: as you pronounce the “o” shaped bones, you are invited to feel how sound moves through your own bones as vibration.
