Dane Pollok is a photographic artist exploring themes of identity, belonging, place and time. He is drawn to the transitional spaces that we traverse and to the texture of his experiences.
What does it feel like to navigate a new environment, to age, to be at home, to love? Working with photography’s allegorical qualities he weaves portraiture, landscape, still life and abstraction to suggest a reinterpretation of the observable world and to visualise those aspects of life that lay just below the surface.
