Acrylic paint, ink, and graphite on paper

Berlin’s urban fabric reflects the social, political, and economic fluctuations of the past two centuries.

This work traces these fluctuations through an analysis of the ways in which the residents of the city have been housed over time; from compact tenement housing to private country villas, from modernist developments to prefabricated apartments.

This research will form the groundwork for Amy’s GlogauAIR project, The City Shaped_Berlin.

You’ll be able to see more of Amy Evans’ work during our upcoming Open Studios on 16th and 17th of December!
