Statement
Adrien Iz Nettere is an artist and designer who works with light and images. Using ceramic and illuminated panels, Nettere’s constructions indulge fiction and projection. He sees perception as a scaffold, staging encounters dense with latent projections and transferences. Nettere repeats an image to reflect back an opaque exteriority, attentive to the gap between sign and meaning.
Nettere lives and works in New York and teaches at Parsons School of Design. Pieces from his project Ballerina Lighting are available in the New Museum store and by commission.
