Statement

I work with oil painting, drawing, and printmaking to explore the fragile state before an image becomes fixed as a motif, story, or name. I usually begin without a predetermined subject; lines, colours, accidental forms, and bodily reactions guide the work as it develops. Through painting, erasing, and layering, I search for images that remain unstable: something felt before it is understood. Recent large-scale paintings draw from urban walls, underground passages, reflected light, and the distance between body and city. Rather than offering a clear narrative, I create a field where each viewer’s memory gives shape to what is still emerging.
