As part of the Virtual Residency Program during the spring session 2020, our current resident artists from around the world met Ben Glas, a former GlogauAIR resident. Ben is an experiential composer and conceptual artist, who through his work questions preconceived notions between passive and active participation and collapses the difference between hearing and listening.
During the meeting he invited the artists to take part in his performance piece Score For Islands: “The underlying concept to this simple piece is that there are connections to be found everywhere. Just as no person is an island, neither are the concepts that unfold both mundanely and spiritually. Our minds act as abstract projectors, beaming assumptions and concretizing patterns; internally and externally.”
