Karine Bonneval

France
Statement

Since 2015, she works with teams of scientists to carry out art and science projects on our invisible exchanges with the all-alive.
For several years, Karine Bonneval has concentrated her research on the paradoxical relations we have with the living.
Through the notions of territory, exoticism, exploration, hybridization, raw materials, it questions our relationship to nature, which man has domesticated without always realizing that he is an integral part of this whole he dominates. With sculpture, video and installation, she tries to bring out the necessary alterity between human beings and other living beings, especially vegetals. With poetry but also malice, associating natural and artificial, artisanal and industrial, it raises the question of adaptation, dialogue with a milieu made up of our privileged interlocutors.
