Statement

My practice builds constructed, dream-logic scenes through oil painting, staged imagery, and performance, working from intuition and personal symbolism. Animals — dogs and lambs — often act as proxies, holding emotion and vulnerability at a remove, allowing difficult states to surface indirectly. I choreograph perspective, composition, and gesture the way one might block a scene, producing a theatrical, unsettling pressure where nothing is observed as-is. Scenes assemble through feeling rather than narrative, held together by a quiet, dry humor that makes difficult feelings easier to look at directly.
