The artists’ works span a wide array of themes and mediums. Adela Angulo Portugal is a visual artist who explores the boundaries of painting and the language that emerges around it. Andrei Campan is a Romanian visual artist working across painting, animation, and visual storytelling. His practice explores the intersection between classical artistic languages and contemporary digital culture, often reflecting on how images, attention, and meaning are shaped in the online era. Beatrix Villiers is drawn to exploring states of metamorphosis of the human body, particularly in relation to the nuanced realities of femininity and the female experience. Bryn McConnell is a textile artist whose practice involves weaving and sewing contemporary materials into abstract collages. Her work explores patterning and storytelling with repetitive and meticulous construction methods. Carlos Pesudo is a painter whose visual research has led to a complex interplay of forms and registers—gestural, expressive, yet also subtle and delicate paintings that unfold through a balance of action and restraint. Carlotta M. Valentinis Queraltó’s artistic practice is rooted in material research and embodied experience. Painting lies at the core of her work, complemented by dance, performance, and movement, establishing a dialogue between matter, body, and mind. Cian Handschuh’s practice engages sculptural installation and site-specific intervention to explore questions of dwelling, ownership, land dysphoria, wildness, and heritage. Conrad Kaczor (Icon Sleepy Tut) is a mixed media artist rooted in street dance, whose practice continues to grow toward contemporary movement and art. Through solo performances and digital processes, he explores personal and collective histories shaped by memory, grief, and transformation.

Dari’s painting practice moves between highly controlled, flat compositions and work shaped by observation and lived interaction. The work reflects how perception shifts through personal experience, attention, and proximity. Hana Bleue Chaussette is a conceptual artist whose work challenges western portraiture through paintings, sculpture, short stories or plays. Heami Lee explores memory, connection, and the human experience. She combines structure with lived experience, creating images that reflect both clarity and vulnerability. Hooria Sanei is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist and composer whose practice is driven by a belief in art’s capacity to generate social change. Through the integration of sensory, conceptual, and experiential approaches, her work encourages reflection on human

experience, identity, and non-verbal modes of communication. Ivan Suvanjieff is a painter. His Quanta Dada series embraces chaos, irrationality, and the absurd. Jin Fang is a Chinese artist whose practice grows from her cross-cultural lived experience and attentive observation.Through painting and drawing, Fang explores connections between nature, creatures, spirituality, memory, and the subconscious. Kami Million hides in order to reveal. They use performance, community gatherings, ceramics, paintings and writing as tools to communicate, working to destigmatise and decriminalise sex work and deconstruct power relations.

Kathleen Judge is a mixed-media artist from the United States who explores the representation of landscape through ink drawings, acrylic paint, animation and sound. Her current series of drawings are influenced by scrapmetal yards, junkyards and rocky terrain. MARIO DAVALOS engages landscape painting as a historical tradition, while shifting its focus toward the simulation of nature as a contemporary substitute for nature itself. His paintings do not describe the wild, but its domination: environments engineered, contained, and aestheticized. Petr Karpov is an architect, artist, and dj from the United States whose research-based creative practice rests between visual art, performance, and spatial investigation. Sarah Baek is a painter whose practice begins with a selective use of material, partial layering, and fragmented surfaces; she explores how memory is experienced through varying degrees of intensity.

In our Project Space we will host the solo exhibition Melancholia Archive, a collaboration between the curator Virginia Valeri and photographer Giulia Gr, which originates from a private and intimate connection that slowly evolved into the desire to create a space capable of holding fragility, memory, and transformation as lived experience. The exhibition emerges from necessity, born from a visceral need to hold on. It marks a pause in time, a moment of looking back, an act of acknowledging Giulia Gr’s life and artistic trajectory across 10 years of material.

After carefully reviewing the proposals for this session, the jury selected the image submitted by Conrad Kaczor (Icon Sleepy Tut). Kaczor is an American dancer and performance artist practicing street dance styles called Popping and Tutting. Kaczor’s artistic practice integrates movement, film, photography, and emerging digital tools to explore themes of grief, memory, and transformation. Although we have had numerous performance artists attend GlogauAIR, this is the first time the jury has chosen one for the catalogue cover.
