Oil on paper
Views of one’s own lower half are alternated with views of other people. These paintings were made in response to the idea that we will increasingly need to distinguish ourselves and our creations from artificial intelligence in order to remain relevant. Proof that I’m Human offers evidence that my normally outward-pointing gaze is attached to a human body, while
simultaneously raising the question of whether this proof, or any proof, is good enough that you should believe me.
