This body of work is composed of imaginary creatures: monsters built from paper elements gathered from the city’s environment, posters, street signage, advertisements & art magazines. These works represent parts of the universal subconscious; invented personas that transform into collective archetypes.

Patino’s current project uses found posters, and other visual materials that he collects daily in Berlin, and then creates characters from it. Based on his interactions with people he has met during his residency at GlogauAIR, these “Portraits” are always changing with the same rhythm as the visual landscape of the city changes.
