GlogauAIR resident artists Greg Kappes and Ainhoa Salas with invited artists Evgenia Chetvertkova Keiken Collective with Nati Cerutti.
This time, gamification, a concept that describes the way that our interaction with technology shapes and colors our perception of everyday life guides the interaction between artists and artworks in the project space exhibition. Work by Ainhoa Salas takes the hyperactive motion that captures our attention on the internet and manifests them in our real life. Greg Kappes investigates the psychological implications of technology and the effects of manipulation and coercion but also a nostalgic look back at our collective childhoods filled with gadgets as digital natives. Berlin/London/Athens-based collective Keiken draws on their world-building theory to look at our consumption of technology and the ever-increasing indiscernibility between our virtual and embodied selves. Evgenia Chetvertkova, a recent graduate of the acclaimed SODA program for movement studies, develops a site-specific performance piece for GlogauAIR that blurs the lines between audience and performer.
