INTERNSHIPS

 

Intern at GlogauAIR to complete your education! GlogauAIR is a non-profit organization based in Berlin dedicated to contemporary arts by promoting the exchange of artistic ideas and practices. The trainee will work as part of the GlogauAIR team in either the Curatorial or Media department. 

 

Expected Commitment

  • 3 months that follow residency semester dates. 
  • 20 hours per week for Curatorial, 15 hours for Media. 
  • Tuesday - Friday 12 - 5pm.
  • Working hours might have to be flexible depending on the events in the Project Space. The trainee will be informed in advance. 

 

Evaluation

The trainee will be evaluated and at the end of the internship GlogauAIR will emit a certificate and recommendation letter to validate the training program. The Training Agreement is not an Employment contract.

                Media and Communication:       Q2 - April 8 - June 27

                                                                       Q3 - July 8 - September 26

Media and Communication

Program of the traineeship period:

  • Documentation
    • Photographing the showcase window on Tuesdays
    • Artist interview documentation with Curatorial Intern
    • Photos/videos/media of the AIR programme
  • Communication, Marketing and Social Media
    • PR, Communication and Marketing for our events
    • Social Media
    • Newsletter
  • On-site support
    • Providing on-site support to residents with research, media production and communication.
  • Special interest / research projects are welcome.
    • If you have a specific project you would like to undertake in addition to your tasks, this can be discussed and confirmed with the on-site team.

 

Knowledge, skills and competences to be acquired by the trainee:

  • Organizational Skills, Teamwork, PR
  • Understanding of business, especially calendar and issues
  • Computer skills
    • Layout and web design – Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop
    • Image processing
    • Office suite
  • Verbal and written communicative skills – proficiency or native level of English
  • Autonomy
    • Ability to analyse and solve problems
  • Contemporary marketing and communication processes and procedures
