SOVA: Sense Alternation
We Explore. We React. We Embrace.
SOVA is a private art organization based in Berlin, curated by Zoé Agnoly. Our premier event, ‘Sense Alternation’, will ceremonialize the instinctive response to the human senses and body, exploring the profound effects they have on our perceptions, social interactions, and sense of self.
Throughout the event, you will traverse through several distinct rooms, each designed to provoke and engage different aspects of your sensory experience:
✫ The Red Room: A vibrant and dynamic environment that explores the themes of social interactions and representations. Bathed in warm tones of orange, red, and gold, this room is alive with energy, utilizing a sophisticated play of light to mirror the ebb and flow of human connections. The artworks of Jacqueline Huskisson and Charlie Simmonds engage the viewer in a dialogue on the complexities of social dynamics.
✫ The Dark Room : Through a visceral combination of photography , painting, and collage with Benji, Electra and Noé Borst. This room confronts you with the unfiltered truths of human experience. It’s a place where shadows and light collide, revealing the intensity of emotion in its most unrefined form.
✫ The Garden Party : The day continues with an art meeting led by Quelish, alongside contributions from visual artists, offering a space for participants to engage more deeply with the themes of the event. This is a chance to not only observe but also create and interact, extending the sensory exploration into a collaborative and hands-on experience with Belen Resnikowski.
SPECIAL VERNISSAGE PARTY
From 6:00 pm, a special vernissage will mark the start of our evening. This opening event will offer guests a first opportunity to discover the works of art on display, in an exclusive and refined atmosphere. The artists will be on hand to discuss their creations, and the atmosphere will be enlivened by a mix of subtle music and mood lighting, creating an immersive experience from the moment visitors arrive.
In conjunction with the opening, an innovative culinary experience will be offered, orchestrated by our renowned Berlin chef, Lewis Pretorius. This unique dinner will be accompanied by a captivating visual performance by artist Electra, who will use projections and light effects. The space will be in harmony with the artistic performance, creating a fusion between gastronomy and paintings.
