Introducing I Ching: A Workshop and Community Offering
LiLi 丽丽 Nacht, as part of her artist in residence at GlogauAir, has curated a series of community-based workshops to share knowledge and practices of care and resilience.
Her upcoming collaboration invites Lingji Hon to share her insights on 易經 I Ching, the ancient Chinese book of Oracles, gained through her lifetime of Taiji Quan practice. Taiji Quan is a Taoist healing art that embodies the principles of I Ching within a framework of energy and movement.
They warmly welcome you to join in this community offering, and hope that this timeless resource of wisdom, paramount “book” and pillar of Chinese culture, can serve as a healing medicine and path to navigate the challenges of life with integrity and empowerment.

What exactly is 易經 I Ching? And how can consulting “the Book of Change” help us to move through life in a state of empowered autonomy?
This intensive workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to I Ching as a book of wisdom and how to use the 3 coin divination method to unlock its secrets. We will explore the meaning of its name, its origins in early Chinese cosmology, and its transmission through legendary figures such as Fu Xi and King Wen. The workshop will also delve into the system’s philosophy and it’s relationship to Taoism, the concept of archetypes, its symbolic hexagrams, and the law of eternal change and transformation.
Participants will also learn to consult I Ching with the three-coin method, to gain insight into our past, present and future, and how to move in harmony with the Tao. Each person will cast their own reading during the workshop, and time will be reserved for questions, discussion, and optional sharing of experiences.
Please bring three clean coins with clearly distinguishable heads and tails.
If the workshop fee is a barrier to your participation—please feel free to reach out at contact.lilinacht@gmail.com
