Born out of a weekend of no-frills collaboration between a group of femmes, Ambient Audiovisual Girlies (A/AV/G://) is an immersive art project that fuses sound, visuals, and world-building into an event series, featuring talented musicians, artists and DJs from Berlin — with the odd feature from visiting artists from time to time. As the series evolves, each chapter hones in on one central theme, illustrated by the audio/visual presentations of the participating artists.

In its first edition — the “prologue” to the series — A://AV://G explores the theme of DUALITY. What does it mean to live in a two-pronged world? Do opposites merely collide, or do they come together in harmony? By utilising sound, image and video, this edition presents DUALITY through an interdisciplinary approach.

Five ambient artists will present their own interpretation of the theme through narrative- based DJ sets, accompanied by live visuals. Two exhibiting artists will display visual work that embodies the concept. One examines the interplay between human-made and AI generated art, and the other delves into the relationship between the conscious and the unconscious mind.

The first edition at GlogauAIR sets the stage for future collaboration between the wide- ranging disciplines of the artists involved. Supported by La Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzález in Barcelona.
