Born out of a weekend of no-frills collaboration between a group of friends, Ambient Audiovisual Girlies (A/AV/G://) is an immersive art project that fuses sound, visuals, and world-building into an event series, featuring talented musicians, artists and DJs from
Berlin — with the odd feature from visiting artists from time to time. As the series evolves, each chapter hones in on one central theme, illustrated by the audio/visual presentations of the participating artists.
A/AV/G:// CHAPTER 1 – NOSTALGIA is an audio-visual exploration of personal geographies and fragments of eras lived. Nostalgia exists in the soft blur of memories, the people we used to be, the spaces we once inhabited, the cities that shaped us and the sillage of songs that left a lingering trail through time.
Nostalgia is not mere longing; it is an act of reconstruction – of reimagining memory as archive and invention. What does it mean to return to the resonance of moments lived, that endured?
Six artists will present their own interpretation of the theme through narrative-based DJ sets, accompanied by live visuals.
The second edition at GlogauAIR continues the exploration of the wide-ranging disciplines of the artists involved.
