My practice is made up of three phases. On site exploration at Lake Michigan or local woods where I explore and gather in the form of videos, photos, drawings and rubbings.  Back in the studio another phase is digesting the experience by breaking it down to isolate individual qualities through studies in collage drawing, and painting. Finally, the oil on panel painting process begins with a recapitulation of the other phases, seeking to grow through understanding to a deeper listening and connection.
