Over the last few months in my studio practice, while working during both the Online Residency at Glogauair and the Fish Factory Iceland Residency in April, I have been researching and experimenting with visualizing the constant digital noise and creating installations to evoke contemplative silence. By capturing slow-motion footage of Iceland's raw and ever-changing landscape and projecting it onto reflective stainless steel materials, the stark nature imagery converges with the cold, reflective surfaces of the cones, creating an interplay between presence and absence.
