Coming back to the studio and working with her hands, the photographic and performative work has gradually transmuted and deconstructed. In the midst of cutting, cropping, archiving, manipulating, recomposing and curating; Elisa Garcia de la Huerta recycled perspectives of previous creations in more expressive and uncensored process-oriented works. Her new artworks on paper are connected through color, the common thread that defines her particular gaze. These reveal layers of the unconscious, personal and mystical, yet juxtaposed with analogue photographs and digital collage exacerbating the polarity between a highly intimate eye and a more visceral abstract hand.
