About Black & White Dreams: a tender and sensual collection of transformative poetry which walks with the reader through the darkest of nights to the brightest of dawns, pausing along the way to remember sweet moments and to care for wounds which have yet to heal. Bhakoo’s words are deeply felt and inspirational, often solitary but always warm hearted, with an eye on the desert incase it should flower.
The artists Cassie Jiun Seo and Iza Buleczakos, will be drawing/painting at the launch, creating artwork inspired by the poems as they hear them.
Cassie Jiun Seo is an artist and designer based in Berlin. Her work conveys her own personal reflection of the world surrounding her.
Iza Buleczka is a fine artist and illustrator working in Berlin. She is best known for her geometric pictures of women – their everyday life, features often considered as ‘flaws’ as well as drawing on her own personal experience as a feminist and ex-model. When she doesn’t draw women, she cooks, explores Berlin on foot or by canoe, or teaches people ‘how to art’.
