MATTHEW LLOYD

United Kingdom 1988

Matthew Lloyd’s method of antithesis’s between art and life when released as an extreme form, act as a main attraction for his work. The approach of this binomial concept is to reveal spectrums whose fundamental role is to become subject of a re-identification of and within themselves. The artists’ works is seen arguably not to exist solely as a material object, but as a vehicle with which to articulate a conceptual idea. The artists’ process is to drive objectivity into a profoundness, testing the limits of ideologies, cultural and social order, by questioning through a concerning nature of language, philosophy, art activity and its’ position in the wider culture, the artist uses this execution as an offer into the importance of a self-reappraisal of the human condition.
