ANNA ADÁM

Hungary 1983

After developing an interest in the conception and fabrication of design scenic elements – especially audiovisual costumes – I first studied Fashion Design and then Intermedia Art in France. Today, I combine my knowledge in the field of textile with performance and contemporary dance to explore the performative and choreographical potential of the garment. With archival assemblages (eg. snapshots from family-albums) video- and voice recordings, I expresses my interest in narratives at the intersection between personal and collective History and memory.

In GlogauAIR I collaborate with Sally O'Neill, Swedish dancer and choreographer. Together we focus on the conception and creation of ”crossing” wearable objects, at the intersection of art, dance, and fashion. The outcome of our theoretical and artistic researches will be published in December in the Le Monde Diplomatique (Hungary) and showed in the GlogauAIR Open Studios (Berlin) in December 2014, TAT Gallery (Budapest) in March 2015, and Random Gallery for Contemporary Art (Budapest) in May 2015.
